I have so many people asking about patterns for the computerized machines that I can't even answer all the e-mails anymore. So if you know of someone who is interested please tell them about this blog so they won't write to me directly! Thanks. :)

Remember that you can subscribe to this page and that way you won't miss the updates (see previous post on RSS).

I am doing patterns in CQ format (a CMD file) and for the other machines as a DXF with the "first, last, & snap" notations. Both types will have a contact sheet that can be printed out for a catalogue.

I have some patterns done, but I'm having problems getting the web page to work. So for now I'll just have them as a regular purchase and will send them out by email. Check at digiquilter.com starting Saturday (10/21/06) and I'll try to get new ones up as quickly as I can.

Info about the site

I have been experiencing some difficulties with the site for the last few days. There was an issue with the server, which I think has been resolved. The pages are loading much faster now.

The problem with the images is a mystery to me. I work on a Mac and when I look at the site the pictures are crystal clear. After hearing from some of you about the poor picture quality I looked at the site on a Windows machine and yes, there definately is a problem there.

However, it's going to take some time to figure out why it works on one, but not the other. Hang in there I'll see if I can fix it. In the meantime, if you click on the smallest images they will open larger and the larger ones are easier to see.

I've finally got the new site up and running. Seems to be working fine, but do let me know if you have any problems or questions.

There are lots of new features:

1. Now you can Check on Your Order Online by logging in to the site. You can also check back on previous orders to see what you've already got from our catalogue.
   
2. You can Pay by VISA or Mastercard directly on the site and also by PayPal if you like.
3. Search the site by Keyword. This powerful new tool will make it easy to see what we have for your quilt. The search box is on every page so it's always close at hand when you need it.
   
4. See What's New as soon as it's added. The main page will always have the latest additions on the bottom, whether it's one new item or many.
5. Check on what others are buying with the Bestsellers List. On the main page it shows to overall bestsellers and as you go into the designer categories it will show bestsellers for each designer.
6. Send your order to a Different Mailing Address. You can have your own address book with more than one mailing address, making it easy to have your order sent where you need it.

Site going offline temporarily.

Hi, just wanted to let you know that my site is going offline for a while. Hopefully it will only be a couple of days, but possible more. This is so I can switch it over to my new site, which is finally ready to go.

On VACATION

Just a quick note to let eveyone know that we are heading out on summer vacation. We will be closed from today (July 13) to July 31. The studio will be open again Aug 1.

Any orders placed online while we are away will be filled & shipped the week of Aug 1st.

New Block Set from Splendid Stitches

We now have a new block set from Splendid Stitches. It is called "Spring Tulips".

Like all of our block sets it is printed on a roll with a storage envelope included to keep the patterns together after they have been cut out.

All block sets allow the user to copy and resize the patterns as needed.

SewClear Templates are here!

Introducing the new SewClear Templates & Rulers now available at Willow Leaf Studio.

They come etched with reference lines for easy placement and with a hole for hanging.

Laser cut from 1/4" Acrylic they are accurate and durable to use.

Quality tools at an affordable price!

All templates and rulers are designed for use with a standard 1/4" hopping foot and will not be suitable for some APQS machines with adapters or older Nolting machines. Please inquire if you are not sure.

Templates are back!

Many of you have been wondering what happened to my Cable Template Set. It's a long story, but to make it short I had problems with the manufacturer and had to secure a new one. That didn't work out so well and I decided to buy the equipment and make them myself.

So here you have it! As you can see they are a bit different than before. The main change being that I've gone to a clear acrylic instead of the amber colour that they were before. The main reason for this is that the clear is easier to buy and the supply is more reliable. Another change, that is hard to see in the picture, is that the templates now have interval markings along the long edge at the bottom. You can use these markings to help set-up your cable in your work and also for a ruler. Just helps to make them more versatile.

I've also completely revamped the instructions, hopefully making them even clearer yet, and adding some additional ways that you can use your Cable Template Set for your quilting.

The other big thing about this is that we will soon be offering more template sets for sale. News will be posted here when they are ready.

Hi to everyone.

This Blog page is going to replace my period eNews newsletter. When I first started the eNews it was in response to a couple of my dedicated customers who wanted to be notified when new patterns came out on the site. As more people asked to be added to the list I decided to put the fact that there was a list on the web page so you, the customers, could ask if you wanted to be added to the list. I had no idea the response would be so large.

Now with all the spam mail that is out there I'm finding that it is getting harder to send out the eNews newsletter as so many of the mail programs won't let it post. So, I'm going to a different format - the BLOG. Such a strange word that is short for web log. When there are new designs for sale at Willow Leaf Studio or just when there is some news of importance I'll post to the blog page and you can check up on me there. If you have a RSS reader you can subscribe to my feed and it will automatically tell you when something new is added.
